Creating Ripples - Jo Murray

Jo MurrayJo Murray has, it is fair to say, had unusal personal and professional career paths. She has worked on a ranch in Colorado, been a PA, run a construction site control room from a portacabin on the M4, worked for Sol Kerzner, set up as freelance editor / proof reader / writer to fund university as a mature student, been a landlady of her own pub, and worked in creative communications and business development. Now in her 50th year and mother of 3, Jo is proud to have opened Cappuchini - a Station Platform Café - with more openings scheduled for the future. She is also a finalist in this year's Sussex Business Woman Excellence awards for best start-up business.

Jo lived in Colorado for many years and Okinawa Japan. She has lived in an 'chocolate box' English cottage, built and lived on a houseboat on the Thames in Henley and experienced swaying apartment blocks in typhoon alley in Japan.

She believes that 'The Road Less Travelled' is her personal mission statement - and she believe that if you want to do anything - you absolutely have to try with courage and conviction - because life really is all about the journey, as the end result is the same for us all!
